Homes for Queenslanders will deliver a generation’s worth of secure construction jobs and ensure that Queenslanders can afford to live and work in the community that they love. The release of this plan will provide a funding uplift of an additional $3 billion, adding to the investment government has already committed.
It sets the bar high with a target of one million new homes by 2046, including 53,500 social homes.

MORE HOMES
I want to help Queenslanders get access to safe and affordable housing. Increasing the supply of new houses is the only way to ensure our kids will have the same opportunities we had.
We’re tackling the affordability crisis by building 1 million new homes by 2046.
RENTAL RELIEF
Renters are facing serious challenges. I care deeply for the pressures facing renters in Queensland. That’s why the Homes for Queenslanders policy is so important to me.
FIRST HOMEOWNERS
Getting your foot onto the property ladder can be hard. I believe that the government should be helping first home buyers take this important first step.
SOCIAL HOUSING
53,500 new social homes by 2046
$1.25 billion to ramp up new social housing builds
ENDING HOMELESSNESS
I believe every Queenslander deserves a roof over their head and a safe place to call home.
I’m working hard to ensure we can end homelessness across Queensland.
